Have you ever wondered how to get active in a fun way? ...All you need is a few flyswatters and balloons!
As we get older, our bodies don’t move like they used to. ;) Some of us are diagnosed with disorders that negatively affect the body in physical ways. Understandably, this may decrease motivation to be physically active.
So, incorporate everyone in your family with this activity!
First things first, you will need:
1 flyswatter per person
1 to 2 balloons (depending on how difficult you want the experience to be)
I like to use Big Band music, as it’s upbeat and does not have lyrics. But, feel free to use whatever music that puts you in a dancing mood! A quick search on YouTube will put some tunes at your finger tips.

Click "play" and start swatting the balloons back and forth. It’s impossible not to laugh!
Not only are you physically exercising during this experience, you are socializing and working as a team with your family and friends. We all need a little more of that!
So, next time you’re wondering how to get your body moving, get out your flyswatters! And remember don’t let the balloon touch the floor!
