WHO:
Designed for adults living with:
- Brain injury
- Stroke
- Spinal cord injury
This group may be a good fit if you are:
- Seeking therapeutic (not recreational) support
- Interested in emotional expression, connection, and structure
- Comfortable participating in a small online group
No musical experience required.
WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY?
Music therapy is a clinical, evidence-based service provided by a credentialed professional.
Sessions use music intentionally to support:
- Emotional regulation
- Communication
- Cognitive engagement
- Quality of life
This is not a music class or performance group.
WHAT HAPPENS IN GROUP SESSIONS?
Sessions may include:
- Songwriting and lyric discussion
- Guided music listening
- Adaptive instrument play
- Music-based emotional, cognitive, and communication support
All activities are adapted to individual abilities and therapeutic goals.
GROUP FORMAT & LOGISTICS:
Format: Online (live, interactive)
Length: 50 minutes
Day & Time: Thursdays at 2:00 PM (ET)
Group Size: Limited to maintain therapeutic quality
