Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy
Sandy is a Licensed and Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and graduate of Radford University, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy with a minor in Theatre. She completed her music therapy internship at Expressive Therapies LLC, a private practice in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Sandy has experience working with individuals ages 3 to 30 across a variety of clinical settings. Her background includes supporting clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical rehabilitation needs, and mental health–related wellness goals.
With a creative and client-centered approach, Sandy uses evidence-based music therapy interventions to help individuals build skills, increase independence, and improve overall quality of life.
Sandy’s energetic, creative personality allows her to connect strongly with younger populations, and those young-at-heart. Her primary passion is in helping children reach developmental milestones through music.
Sandy’s primary instrument is voice, which she has studied for over 10 years. Whether she's in the car, at church, or on stage, music is a constant in her life. In addition to singing, Sandy also plays guitar, ukulele, and piano.
