Megan is a Board Certified Music Therapist as well as a Registered Behavioral Therapist.
Megan graduated from Illinois State University with her Music Therapy degree, as well as a minor in Psychology. She has experience in various instruments, but primarily plays the french horn. Megan moved from Chicago, Illinois to Roanoke, Virginia in 2022 for her internship at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She has experience working with a plethora of needs, including Intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, hospice, PTSD, long-term care, mental health, nursing homes, and various diagnoses within school environments. Megan’s passion lies not only in music therapy and helping support others to achieve their highest potential, but also in understanding the importance of the mind and body connection.
Megan has been involved in music all of her life, from various instrument lessons to performing in musicals, orchestras, bands, jazz ensembles, acapella groups, theater troupes, speech competitions, marching bands, and horn ensembles.
Some of her favorite things to do to pass the time are to play instruments, continue her education, yoga, and being in nature.
Fun fact about Megan: Megan’s music taste really just depends on her mood, ranging from rap to various instrumentals, rock to country, indie to jam bands, and so forth.
